pay.com.au unveils market-leading transfer rates for Virgin Australia Business Flyer

pay.com.au, the end-to-end payments and rewards platform, today announced a significant upgrade to its PayRewards program, introducing market-leading transfer rates for Virgin Australia Business Flyer. This strategic enhancement offers unrivalled value for Australian business travelers, allowing them to unlock more from their business expenses.

Customers will now earn 25% more value when transferring their PayRewards Points to Virgin Australia Business Flyer accounts. The transfer rate, originally 2.5:1, is now enhanced to 2:1, significantly boosting rewards and taking businesses further for less.

“We’re fundamentally changing how businesses think about their expenses. A one-way Sydney to Doha Business Class flight used to cost 312,500 PayRewards Points. With our enhanced conversion rate, that same flight can now be redeemed for just 250,000 PayRewards Points (125,000 Velocity Points + $444.51 in taxes, fees and carrier charges*). We’re working closely with Virgin Australian Business Flyer to empower companies to unlock massive travel value from their routine payments - from ATO bills to payroll. Our market-leading conversion rates ensure every business expense works harder to drive tangible rewards,” said Grant Austin, CEO, pay, com.au

Business owners can convert PayReward Points to Velocity Points for practical uses like gift cards for staff recognition or client appreciation. When planning a business trip or team retreat, they can conveniently book from over 400,000 hotels worldwide with Velocity Points or Points + Pay^. This comprehensive selection means businesses can leverage their PayRewards and Velocity Points to add significant value far beyond air travel, without breaking the bank.

“We're committed to making every interaction with our Virgin Australia Business Flyer program even more rewarding. We’ve worked closely with pay.com.au to secure an even better point transfer rate for our members, empowering businesses to reach their travel goals, offset business expenses, and redeem Velocity Points for personal holidays with greater flexibility and ease. This collaboration truly reinforces Virgin Australia Business Flyer’s mission to provide members with more ways to earn Velocity Points for their business every day, so they can reach their rewards sooner,” said Shanika Ekanayake, General Manager of Virgin Australia Business Flyer.

All members will benefit from the increased point conversion rates, effective July 1, 2025.
