Following the announcement of its merger with Conrad Gargett last month, award-winning architecture and design firm Architectus has announced the appointment of four highly
experienced Principals across its Melbourne and Perth studios, along with two new Health leaders, further expanding its expertise in this area. 

Industry health sector specialists Bruce Crook and Mark Saunders have joined Architectus as Principals (Health) in Melbourne. 

With a deep understanding of contemporary healthcare environments, Crook was previously the Director– Health with HDR. His Australian portfolio includes the Monash Children’s Hospital, Werribee Mercy Hospital (stage 2 redevelopment master plan), and the Bendigo Hospital masterplan and redevelopment – Victoria’s largest regional hospital project. 

Crook will be joined by Mark Saunders, whose experience spans 26 years of designing and delivering health facilities ranging from community hospitals to entire health precincts.
 Prior to joining Architectus, he was a Director at HDR and Silver Thomas Hanley with his most recent work including the VHBA Community Hospitals Program, which covered ten sites across Victoria.

Outside of the Health sector, Architectus has welcomed Angela Dapper as Principal of the Living portfolio to the Melbourne studio. Dapper brings two decades of international
expertise to the Living team having led high-profile projects including Oxford University’s Botanic Gardens glasshouse and the restoration and extension of the Mandarin Oriental Hotel’s historic Hyde Park property. Past positions include Partner at Denton Corker Marshall and Principal at Grimshaw.  

In the Perth studio, workplace interior specialist Stephen Moorcroft has joined as Principal (Interior Architecture). A designer who enjoys engineering challenges, Moorcroft
has contributed to more than 400,000sqm of workplace design for clients across multiple sectors from aviation and defence, to health and education to legal and finance.
