As organizations globally seek innovative ways to improve sustainability and their impact on Earth, the American Waterways Operators (AWO), a leading economic force encompassing the U.S.’s maritime industry, is welcoming its newest member: Asbury, New Jersey’s Industrial Sustainability Group (ISG) dba The Fuel Ox®.
According to a newly-published press release, The Fuel Ox will be bringing its more than a decade of greentech expertise and fuel industry knowledge to the AWO, with the membership set to help those across the tugboat, towboat, and barge worlds gain access to products that will improve energy efficiency and sustainability.
“Our values align perfectly with AWO’s mission,” said Rand Taylor, The Fuel Ox CEO. “We’ve already seen remarkable results- our additives have helped reduce harmful emissions by over 50% while outperforming competitors in both cleanliness and efficiency. We are excited to expand our efforts through our new connections.”
The Fuel Ox has previously made headlines for its innovative additives, which have repeatedly been NSF and USDA-certified unlike competitors in the fuel industry. The company has also appeared at various trade shows across the nation, such as this year’s Inland Marine Expo in Nashville, to advocate for eco-friendly alternatives.
As part of its membership to the organization, The Fuel Ox will gain unique insight into the needs of the industry, allowing for increased innovation in product development. The company has already released marine-focused products Fuel Ox Marine® with Combustion Catalyst, designed to optimize engine performance and extend engine life, and Fuel Ox Marine® Winter Shock, a seasonal stabilizer that preserves fuel quality for up to two years, with more on the way.
“We are proud of all our team has accomplished- it has gone a long way to showing the true power of environmentally-conscious fuel solutions,” added Taylor. “Now that we are part of the AWO, we have the opportunity to get our products into the hands of those who will benefit most, all while contributing to the fight against global pollutants.”
