Breaking Down Barriers to Disability Inclusion in the Workplace


Arriba Group is excited to announce the “You CAN Ask That” webinar, an essential event for employers and industry professionals dedicated to fostering disability inclusion in the workplace. Scheduled for Wednesday, September 18, 2024, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM AEST, this free virtual event on Zoom will bring together leading disability advocates, thought leaders, and experts to address the often-unspoken questions about how employers can support people with disability.

This webinar offers a unique opportunity for Australian employers to engage with a distinguished panel of experts, creating a safe space for open dialogue. By confronting misconceptions and sharing practical insights, the event aims to promote understanding and provide actionable strategies for building inclusive workplaces where everyone feels valued.

Meet the Panelists:

  • Dr. Dinesh Palipana OAM: A pioneering doctor, lawyer, scientist, and disability advocate. Dr. Palipana is Queensland’s first quadriplegic medical graduate and a practicing physician. He co-founded Doctors with Disabilities Australia and is a leading advocate for inclusivity in healthcare.
  • Matt Levy OAM: Paralympian, motivational speaker, and inclusion advocate. Levy has overcome significant challenges to become a three-time Paralympic gold medalist, promoting inclusion through his personal success framework.
  • Kerry McQuillan: Director of CX - Client and Talent at Randstad Group Australia. McQuillan is a leader in inclusive recruitment practices and has influenced disability employment policies, including the Federal Government's Employ My Ability plan.
  • Belinda Toohey: Co-founder of Including You Disability Services and a human rights advocate. Toohey has over 30 years of experience in the disability sector, advancing human rights and shaping disability support services.
  • Lesh Prasad: Head of Growth and Strategic Partnerships at AimBig Employment. Prasad leverages his experiences managing a congenital heart condition and fibromyalgia to advocate for inclusive workplaces.
