INTRODUCING CRYPTO FOR CHRISTMAS

Give the gift of crypto this Christmas with Australia’s first crypto gift cards

22 December, 2021: For those looking for the perfect ‘last minute’ Christmas present for someone who has everything - your search is over. This year YourPortfolio is giving shoppers the opportunity to give loved ones a truly unique gift card they’ll actually want to receive. Christmas cryptocurrency gift cards are for sale in a number of different denominations, with four crypto coin classes to choose from, so there’s actually something exciting to unwrap during the silly season.

It’s truly never been easier to buy crypto, with the simple gift card providing the ability to purchase cryptocurrency that can be redeemed easily, within minutes and securely online. For the first time in Australia, consumers will be able to buy cryptocurrency in the form of a physical gift card, with YourPortfolio opening a pop up stall at Sydney’s Bondi Junction Westfield.

For those outside Sydney, or if you simply can’t get down to Bondi, never fear. E-gift cards are available to purchase from the YourPortfolio website, and plans to make physical crypto gift cards available nationally in the near future too.

Gift cards are available in denominations of $50, $100, $250 or $500 worth of Bitcoin, Ethereum, Cardano and Dogecoin, four of the top cryptocurrencies globally, with more to come. Bitcoin alone has increased in value by over 350% in 2021. For the hard to buy for, and perhaps crypto-curious person to buy for, YourPortfolio’s crypto gift cards give the opportunity to do more than hand over $250 in an envelope, providing a cool, fun gift that’s guaranteed to get the family talking over Christmas lunch.

On Christmas Day, the receiver of a crypto gift can either use the URL on the back of the card or scan the QR code, to be taken to a website where they can enter a 12-digit identifier and a PIN they will use to unlock their cryptocurrency in a coin class of the giver’s choosing. Using a license, medicare card, or other ID they will be able to set up an account to manage their new investment.

YourPortfolio CEO Daniel Sekers said Aussies are crying out for cool, innovative and unique gifts in 2021. “Gift cards are a convenient, go-to present for many, but people want something new and exciting, something that has never before been sold in this format before, and this encapsulates all of that and more.

“With our cryptocurrency gift cards, it’s easy for complete beginners to purchase one of four popular coins in a variety of values to give their loved ones the gift of investment this year. It’s a present that allows you to give the gift of real wealth to friends and family this Christmas,” Sekers said.

Recipients of the gift cards don’t need to have existing wallets or be active on any cryptocurrency exchanges. YourPortfolio will provide everything they need to set up their account and begin trading, or simply redeem their Christmas gift.

What’s more, the Bondi Junction Westfield pop-up is just the beginning for YourPortfolio, with plans to make physical crypto gift cards available nationally in the near future. Gifts cards can be purchased and redeemed now at the YourPortfolio website.
