PolonTV and PolBox.TV: Which Polish Online TV Service Should You Choose

Even if you live abroad, you probably want to stay connected to your home country and watch your favorite shows in a language you understand without a translator. But where can you watch Polish TV online?

In this review, we'll compare two popular services — PolonTV and PolBox.TV — using the most important features to help you make the right choice.

Number of Channels and Content

Polontv.com offers about 80 channels, including the most popular ones. This might be enough if you only want to watch basic content. However, its competitor is giving you access to more than 140 Polish channels.

PolboxTV offers not only the usual channels but also unique specialty channels for things like cartoons, music concerts, religious programs, and even content to help you learn English.

Streaming Quality and HD

With PolonTV, only a few channels are available in HD quality (High Definition). Most of the shows are broadcast in standard quality (SD). If your internet connection is weak, you might have some delays or buffering.

PolBox.TV offers most of its channels in HD or Full HD quality. What's more, this service provides smoother streaming with fewer interruptions, even if your internet signal is weak. This is a big advantage for users with slower internet.

TV Archive and Extra Features

Both online TV services let you use a TV archive feature, but they work differently. PolonTV has a limited archive, so you cannot rewatch all the Internet television shows. PolBox.TV allows you to watch recordings of all shows from the past 14 days, no matter which channel it was on.

Device Support

You can watch PolonTV using a web browser, on some streaming boxes, and with its mobile app. Unlike polontv, its competitor works on Smart TVs, mobile apps for Android and iOS, web browsers, and many streaming Internet TV devices (like Apple TV and Android TV). Simply put, you can watch PolBox.TV almost everywhere.

Where It Works

Both services can be used outside of Poland. PolonTV mainly focuses on the European region. PolBox.TV works well in Europe, but also stably in the USA, Canada, and Australia.

Which Polish Television Online Service Should You Choose?

Both services let you watch online TV when you are away from home.

However, PolBox.TV offers much bigger advantages: it has more channels, better HD/Full HD quality, a full 14-day archive, works on more devices, and offers stable service on other continents (like North America and Australia). It also has 24/7 customer support.

PolonTV might be okay if you live in Europe and want a simpler option, but it is not as good as its competitor in many important ways.
