Trillium Unveils PassGO Hacking Challenge at UCLA
LOS ANGELES, CA., Oct 5, 2018 - (ACN Newswire) - Trillium Secure, Inc. (Trillium), the leader in vehicle cybersecurity and secure data services, unveiled its new PassGO Hacking Challenge on UCLA's campus as part of the company's Hack Across America campaign. The launch event was hosted by the university's Engineering Society where students trained for participation in the PassGO Hacking Challenge, and gained insights about what it is like working at a tech startup, and why vehicular cybersecurity and personal data privacy is important.

"It was a pleasure to host Trillium on campus and to give our members the first-look at PassGO," said Yu Hong Hwang, President of the Engineering Society. "I'm confident that many engineering students will participate in the challenge, and we enjoyed the chance to interact with a cybersecurity startup's management team about real-world technology development."

"UCLA's Engineering Society was the perfect audience for introducing Trillium's PassGO Hacking Challenge," said Ross Hirschi, Director of Global Engineering. "We hope that many talented students use our online car hacking simulation to learn more about security vulnerabilities and become passionate about the field of cybersecurity."

The PassGO Hacking Challenge invites cybersecurity enthusiasts and engineers to break through five levels of vehicular network message protection, which include increasingly advanced modules of Trillium's SecureGO technology. Users are prompted to decrypt coded messages and reply with a correct answer in plain text to advance to the next level.

The launch event at UCLA was another stop along Trillium's Hack Across America campaign, a series of educational and recruitment programs taking place across the U.S. which the company's CEO David Uze personally embarked upon earlier this year.
