HireVue hits 1 millionth interview milestone in Australia

  • Written by Business Daily Media

SYDNEY, 15 November 2022 - HireVue, the global leader in video interviewing, assessments, and text-enabled recruiting tools today announced a number of growth related milestones in Australia including hitting over 1 million  job seeker interviews.

In today's tech-driven world, candidates have increasing expectations for better communication, faster hiring, flexible options, and easy recruitment processes. As a result, Australia's largest employers are continually finding ways to use technology to transform and develop faster and fairer hiring processes, a trend which has been reflected in HireVue’s latest growth figures.

Of the 1 million job seeker interviews conducted in Australia to date, 40% of these interviews were completed on mobile  showcasing the growing demand for remote, on demand interview schedules. The HireVue platform has an overall candidate satisfaction rate of 86.6% in Australia.

Global demand for virtual interviews continue to skyrocket

On a global scale, HireVue hit the 33 million interview milestone in October 2022, marking a significant growth stage for the company.

 Through these virtual interviews:

  • - HireVue has helped connect candidates from almost 250 countries to 2 million roles

  • - Over a third (36%) were completed on mobile

  • - Almost half of interviews were conducted out of hours (48%)

  • - Overall global candidate satisfaction sitting at an impressive 88%

Broken down by region, 18.5 million of these interviews were completed across the Americas, 5.5 million across APAC, 4.8 million across EMEA and 4 million from the rest of the world.

HireVue has experienced a 37% increase in global  new customers in the first half of this fiscal year and a strong candidate NPS of 64.

Australian and APAC customers spearhead local growth

In line with this growth, HireVue’s platform is, in turn, enabling its customers to grow their own business by adapting their recruitment strategies to keep pace with challenging market conditions.

This is reflected in the company’s 2022 Customer Awards. Australia-based winners include Diversity award winner Rio Tinto which utilised the HireVue platform to eliminate bias from its recruitment process and challenge gender imbalance in leadership roles. MinterEllison was also recognised under the RockStar category for its incorporation of Game Based Assessments (GBA) in their hiring process.

Other winners in the region and their respective categories include Great Southern Bank (Impact), BHP (Shooting Star) and ITOCHU Corporation / TalentA Corp (Shooting Star).

Commenting on the latest company milestones, Anthony Reynolds, CEO of HireVue said: “As employers across Australia and the broader APAC region navigate a recruitment landscape that is underpinned by widespread skills shortages, we are seeing an increasing reliance on technology in finding, hiring and retaining talent across the region.

“Now, more than ever before, our customers rely on the HireVue talent experience platform  to help keep pace with industry changes and with 2023 gearing up to be an increasingly competitive recruitment market, we expect to see continued uptake of these technologies in the months ahead.

“For local companies to be seen as preferred employment brands in this challenging marketplace, it’s critical to engage their casual workforce and university hires with a fast, engaging experience that enables every applicant an opportunity to showcase their potential. HireVue’s video interviewing and assessment solutions, powered by text and scheduling, provide a seamless experience for candidates and a competitive advantage for talent teams. For any employer looking to stand out in an already crowded marketplace, virtual assessments are key and we are excited to see the role our technologies will continue to play in helping customers to achieve this.”
