Thryv wins national accolade at 2025 Australian Service Excellence Awards

Thryv® (NASDAQ: THRY), Australia’s provider of the leading small business marketing and sales software platform, announced that Greg Nicolle, Group Manager Sales Enablement Thryv Australia, has been awarded Learning and Development Professional of the Year at the 2025 Australian Service Excellence Awards, hosted by the Customer Service Institute of Australia (CSIA).

The award recognises individuals who deliver measurable impact in workforce capability, customer experience and organisational growth. Greg’s win reflects his focus on embedding a customer-first philosophy into every layer of Thryv operations, ensuring that the skills and confidence of team members translate directly into stronger and more valuable conversations with small business owners.

The Australian Service Excellence Awards (ASEAs) are regarded as the country’s premier customer service awards, celebrating organisations and professionals who deliver outstanding customer experiences, foster service excellence and raise the benchmark for industry standards. Greg’s recognition underscores Thryv’s commitment to innovation in learning and development, including industry-leading online training models, dynamic coaching systems and initiatives such as Thryv Service Packs - a program that analyses how customers are using the software and provides service consultants with tailored insights to guide clients toward opportunities for growth.

At Thryv, service excellence is central to its mission of helping small businesses modernise, compete and grow. By equipping its teams with the right skills and capability, Thryv ensures that every customer interaction is meaningful and effective. Through comprehensive five-week onboarding programs for new hires, ongoing coaching for existing staff and cross-team capability workshops, Greg has built a culture of growth, consistency and innovation. This philosophy was brought to life with a major achievement at the awards, recognising the company’s focus on people development as a driver of small business success.

“I am incredibly proud to have been named the Learning and Development Professional of the Year,” Greg said.

“This award recognises not only my work but the dedication of my team, who put enormous effort into creating training and coaching experiences that are high in energy, practical and measurable. From running capability workshops across the business to hands-on coaching in the field, our goal is always to ensure that our people feel supported and capable of delivering real value to every customer. Representing Thryv Australia is a significant honour, and this recognition is a testament to the culture of excellence we strive to build every day.”

Elise Balsillie, Head of Thryv Australia and New Zealand, said Greg’s win highlights Thryv’s dedication to building a culture of excellence from the inside out.

“Greg continues to shape the mindset of our teams to put the customer at the centre of everything they do. His initiatives have lifted service standards and improved consistency across Thryv. His vision has ensured that our teams are empowered to innovate, solve challenges and deliver extraordinary value to small businesses across Australia. This award not only recognises Greg’s outstanding contribution, but it also reinforces what we stand for as an organisation – that when we invest in our people, we are also investing in the future success of our customers.”
