Auror takes out top awards at Australian Fraud Awards

Retail Crime Reporting software company, Auror, has taken out the top award for Vendor of the Year at Retail Risk 2024, quickly followed by a win for Best Collaboration of the Year alongside bp Australia. The award ceremony followed the Retail Risk Conference, held at Sydney’s Accor Stadium, attended by Australia’s most well-known and trusted retailers.

Auror’s CEO, Phil Thomson, was excited by the win particularly given the evening could also be shared with Auror’s collaborator bp Australia, as well as some of its retail partners, Bunnings, Coles, Priceline and Woolworths, in attendance on the night.

“Taking out the award for Vendor of the Year 2024 is a real credit to our retail partners and customers who share Auror’s vision to connect communities to stop crime. We see how hard our partners work towards this - daily - and we’re incredibly proud of the work they do in their communities alongside law enforcement, facilitated by the Auror platform.”

“The judges were looking for a vendor with tangible and lasting partnerships, and that’s where we believe Auror goes above and beyond. Auror collaborates with our retail partners to get the best results for them and their community. The Auror team could not be happier with this result.”

Auror was nominated twice in the same category by its retail partners, and was mentioned specifically by South Australia Police as integral to its win for Operation Measure under the Retail and Law Enforcement Collaboration of the Year. Auror’s own Kate Wood was nominated for the Rising Star Award for 2024 as well.

Auror is a retail crime reporting software platform and works with the biggest and best retailers across the world. Auror’s Australian base is located in Melbourne, and the company also has offices in London, Denver, and Auckland. The Auror platform is used by over 100,000 retail users and 2,500 law enforcement users globally, all working to prevent retail crime, a $150 billion problem annually.
