Nintex Turns 'Victorian Worker Permit' into a Fully Digital, Mobile Experience-PR Newswire APAC

Digital process automation software vendor has transformed the Victorian government's worker permit scheme from a paper-based process into a fully automated solution that is available at no cost

MELBOURNE, Australia, Aug. 20, 2020 /PRNewswire/ -- Nintex, the global standard for process management and automation, today announced the company is helping Melbourne-based employers and employees fast track their participation in the recent Victorian Worker Permit Scheme with a free, downloadable workflow automation solution.

The fully digital permit leverages Nintex Workflow Cloud, Nintex Workflow, Nintex Forms, and Nintex Sign™ powered by Adobe Sign to effectively eliminate paper from the government's nomination process.

Organisations may download the free workflow template from Nintex for the Victorian Worker Permit at https://gallery.nintex.com/5f2a0cbfcaec000045e2920e/Victorian%20Permitted%20Worker%20Permit[1].

"Nintex is pleased to support both employers and employees with legally compliant automation to help them more easily and safely secure a work permit in greater metropolitan Melbourne during COVID-19 stage four restrictions," Nintex Technical Director, Chris Ellis.

"We're committed to helping organisations meet safety and regulatory requirements while going digital with easy-to-use and powerful software solutions that improve the way people work.

"Our fully digital and mobile-optimized Victorian worker permit saves everyone time while eliminating physical paperwork in the process which can be easily ruined or mislaid."

How automation improves the Victorian Worker Permit scheme

Effective Wednesday 5 August 2020 at 11:59 p.m., workers in Melbourne are required to show a permit[2] if travelling further than five kilometers. This means that employers who require staff to attend a work site must issue a work permit to their employees or risk harsh financial penalties.

With a paperless worker permit process, manual steps including wet signatures are removed thanks to Nintex's automated process for the Victorian Worker Permit, which is accessible via mobile devices.

Additionally, within the automated solution, Nintex Forms have been designed to launch directly within a customer's Nintex Workflow Cloud environment to make it fast and easy for employers and their employees to fill in the required information and electronically sign the digital documents.

Nintex customers may also quickly configure their own workflow and store completed forms in a centralised content management system or on a company intranet, route them to a central email address, or simply store them in an electronic file store to share on completion.
