Chris Christofi aims to raise $100,000 to help homeless

Lead With Kindness’ fundraising function as part of his sixth consecutive Vinnies CEO Sleepout

Melbourne, 30 MAY 2023: Is it possible to raise $100,000 in one night to help the homeless? Melbourne businessman Chris Christofi thinks he can and is pulling out all the stops to make it happen on Friday 2 June.

Chris is a man on a mission to raise as much money as possible as part of his sixth consecutive Vinnies CEO sleepout - all in the name of helping the homeless. And he’s not taking “no” for an answer. As part of this year’s fundraising campaign, Chris has created a charity event in Melbourne called “Lead with Kindness”.

The star studded Lead with Kindness event will be held at the hottest event space in Melbourne - Cremorne’s superb Le Ceil function centre. It will include a night of food, drinks and auctions to help raise money to fight homelessness in Australia. The event runs from 7pm until 1130pm with an after party at Bar Bambi. The night will include performances from singer Jessica Duchesne, musician Frankie Sax, magician extraordinaire Lucas Kogaki as well as food from the Oyster Butler and drinks from Mister Bartender.

To make the event possible, Chris has joined forces with Uniq Group and its founder Veki Brdjanin as well as Hermitage Homes to draw in a crowd of over 250 people from all walks of life. Some of the many items up for auction include:

Christiano Ronaldo hand signed soccer boot in display case; Ed Sheeran hand signed guitar; Mike Tyson signed boxing glove; Shane Warne signed cricket ball and baggy green cap; Michael Jordan signed basketball in display case; Muhammad Ali signed boxing robe in presentation box; Valentino Rossi signed racing helmet; Michael Schumacher hand signed driving gloves; Magic Johnson signed LA Lakers singlet; Taylor Swift signed Midnights LP Vinyl Record; Kylie Minogue signed ULP Vinyl Record; Lionel Messi signed boots and jersey.

“I’m looking forward to hosting a night of great food, brilliant live entertainment and an opportunity to reach into the pockets of  some of Melbourne’s most influential people, all for a good cause,” said Christofi.

“Together, let’s unite and create real impact. The name of the event says it all. Lead with Kindness is a reminder of how important it is to give back to those in need.”

"It's a massive reality check, stepping into someone else's shoes and being stripped of everything in the middle of Winter. It makes you realise how tough it is for so many people and why it is important to not judge and to just show kindness."

Proceeds go towards Vinnies CEO Sleepout to help people in need. All proceeds from ticket sales are charitable donations and tax deductible.

This is Christofi’s sixth consecutive Vinnies CEO - to be held this year on 22 June. All proceeds from the event will go towards helping the homeless. Christofi’s goal this year is being in the top 3 fundraisers in Australia.

Founder and CEO of wealth and financial planning company Reventon and a father of four, Christofi has raised more than $550,000 for the CEO Vinnies Sleepout since 2018.

Later this year, Christofi will unveil plans to auction off a home to help the homeless - giving all proceeds to St Vincent de Paul.

Register for a ticket to Lead with Kindness for your chance to own any of these incredible items and help end homelessness.
